Over time, Jo Beth found two ways to help control the jerks.  
First, she tried her best to keep regular hours, and to get
plenty of sleep.   It was difficult, because when drifting off
each night, her upper body would begin bucking and shaking,
but she learned to fall asleep despite this.

Second, Jo Beth learned that, when awake, she could stop the
jerks from happening so much if she kept her body tense.   If
her stomach muscles were tight, the jerks couldn't grab hold of
them.   This was fatiguing for long periods, but she could now
get through most meetings—and all of that tensing-up gave her
fantastic abs!  

But sex was challenging:  she had a choice of jerking, or
staying tense.  What fun.
