


| There were a couple of teensy new problems: Jo Beth's hearing began to give her trouble. Her family was driven crazy by her constant requests to repeat what was said, and by her need to crank up the TV volume. She had an exam, and was told there was absolutely nothing wrong. Her voice began to give her trouble. She was hoarse all day long.
