Out of work, and the family deep in debt.  Well, thank
goodness Jo Beth's $10,000 loan would be written off, via
teacher loan forgiveness for teaching at a "low" school.

Nope.  She was shy of the five year requirement, because of a
slightly late start date her first year.

Could she be granted an exception due to her unique health
situation?  No.  Even given her "low" students' outstanding
achievement levels?  No.  Could she work summer school for
two months to fulfill the lack?  No.  The writeoff rules required
five
full school years.  There were no exceptions.

Jo Beth could not possibly teach an entire additional year.
Her choice of second career had added $10,000 to the family's
debt.  Lucky, lucky Jo Beth (and her family).
