By August, Jo Beth gave in and went back to her lupus doctor
to renew the Plaquenil and anti-inflammatory.  She found the
money, somehow.

Without insurance, not ony were drugs expensive, but the
doctor's fee was hefty.  He very nicely cut it in half for her.

Joe picked up work soon after this.  Insured again.  Yay!
Back on the Plaq

Where Jo Beth caves in to her autocidal body's demands.
Study Questions:
Jeez, Louise, why did she wait so
long?
Whether or not the breathing
problems had been due to Jo
Beth's heart, we'll never
know.  It now tested stronger
than the hearts of women
athletes--from all that friggin'
skiing!
It was October by the time
managed care managed to
accomplish the heart tests.
Jo Beth had been back on her
lupus drugs for almost three
months.  Her breathing by
then was just fine.
