| Today, only the minor weird things keep happenin'. A couple of weeks ago, Jo Beth got one tiny, white, inflamed tastebud on the tip of her tongue. It hurt quite a lot--suprisingly so, since it was so small. Then, on her hard palate, on only one side, she got a very sore, swollen bump that pushed her hard palate downward. Last, the most gross thing happened: You know how, in those pictures of Chinese dragons, they always have these long, trailing whiskers? Well, Jo Beth got a dragon tongue. On the underside of your tongue, there are ridges of raggedy thin skin. The underside of Jo Beth's tongue started to hurt like heck. When she looked under it, in the mirror, she saw something really gross. The raggedy parts had lengthened into creepy trailing vines of skinny flesh--and they were red and NASTY! |
