Today, Jo Beth is gainfully employed a whopping four hours a
day--all she feels she can handle.  She makes $15 an hour,
with no benefits.

Even with that laid-back schedule, and an undemanding
clerical job, Jo Beth often has difficulty performing her simple
duties.  She forgets where she filed what she just filed.  She
puts the address of one customer on the letter to another.  She
says "So nice to meet you!" to clients she has met repeatedly.

Jo Beth's employer has had his own health problems, and
so is very understanding.  He double-checks what she does
(and what he does) so that their customers get excellent
service.  Jo Beth also tries to double-check.

When she's functioning well, Jo Beth can still be extremely
productive and organized.  It's really too bad about all the
other times.
